This was to be our last family vacation for a bit given the ages and pursuits of our children, so we wanted it to be special. Paris seemed like the perfect spot for so many reasons. As we often do, we decided to look for an apartment. Just as we couldn’t find the “perfect” place, I tried one more website, Paris Copia. After receiving a very prompt return phone call from their representative, I was remarkably impressed by the professionalism and care to our needs that was shown. I knew this was the perfect match for us. The Bernadette was recommended and after researching it, we decided to rent this apartment. From day one, the constant communications and expressed desire to ensure our happiness and to ease our fears were overwhelming. As an experienced vacation renter, I never received such attention to detail. We were provided a concierge, a transplanted American residing in Paris, who reached out to us and for the next 5 months, we worked together to ensure a wonderful experience. He arranged transportation to and from the airport and helped put together an itinerary, including dinner reservations, for our 2 weeks in Paris. Upon arriving at the apartment, we were greeted by the lovely French, but in many ways American, apartment manager who showed us everything we needed to know about Bernadette and the surrounding area. The Bernadette is perfectly situated in the heart of le Marais, a vibrant, exciting part of Paris, close to great restaurants, the Metro, walking distance to Notre Dame, Ile St. Louis and Ile de la Cite, the Left Bank and so much more. Given all that, and at the end of each long day, we knew we could come home to a wonderful setting, a place that immediately truly felt like home. The apartment was adorned with every amenity and detail one could want, including a professional kitchen, electronic shades that made the bedrooms sleepily dark, luxurious linens and so much more. While often stated by apartment renters, but rarely accomplished, at Bernadette, you can leave all your worries behind and know that all your needs are in place. Of special note is the central air conditioning, a rarity in Paris. As we were there during a string of 100 degree (F) days, it was an incredible benefit. Our concierge continued to make sure we were in good shape, changing reservations on the fly and helping arrange unusual, interesting events not on the typical tourist road map. I cannot compliment or give gratitude to Paris Copia and its staff completely in words, nor can I adequately described the Bernadette experience. To assure you that the level of professionalism cannot be beat, upon arrival home, I received a phone call from our representative and we spent about 30 minutes discussing our vacation. Of course, this came after having received a “thank you” gift in the mail from Paris Copia, something I’ve never experienced with any other rental. If you are looking to experience Paris in a beautiful, carefree way in a location that cannot be topped, experience the City of Light with the Bernadette and Paris Copia, a true match made in heaven. I know for sure we will again.
